This is exactly what I'm referring to. Last time, there was a Pie Clan. 3 modders were in it. Toast, Pielogist and I. After all the work was completed, Cherry was to skin everything. However, due to lack of interest in modding, Toast stopped doing his job, and yes, Cherry couldn't complete his job either.

Therefore the whole project fell apart and was a whole waste of time.

^That was an example. Get what i mean? Its hard enough with 4 people, let alone a full collab

Basically, you rely on too many people, and the more people, the higher risk of failing due to one person not completing his task =|

Sweet lord...

Okay people, take a hint.

If you want to make a TEAM MOD Then FIND MEMBERS WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT THE IDEA AS WELL.

You think every member of HRMT was "omg cool idea, i want that then not do my part" or "Cool idea! I can't give much to this (translation: I can't mod or anything...) , but I'll join and try to help"

Unless your mod idea is liked and agreed by the whole team, it will fail.

Ex. If someone loves the BR, and they like doing bitmaps and are good at it....OH LOOK, You got yourself a bitmapper for the BR.

Andor joined HRMT, interested in combining Refresh and HRMT. However, he vanished and guess what happened? He completely forgot he wanted to help at all. Leaving HRMT at a stand still. Yes, one person can hinder a project, but guess what? Do it yourself as the leader, or find someone new. Keo was lazy half the time on the HUD, and even though he could have done it at several points, like fixing a simple nade bitmap around, x axis and all, he didn't. So guess who had to? Me. Why? Because I'm not letting one person stop a mod. If your going to complain about someone not doing their job, and you didn't even TRY to do it either, don't bother trying to give advice.

Btw, I'm not bashing Keo or Andor, just using them as examples.

That's partly what being a leader is about. If you really want to do this 2310, you'd better be damned sure you can back it up.

Now If anyone needs me to explain futher, Msg me on AIM. I've got a hell work out to do. Pz.

Very few mods actually need an entire group behind it.
The Recon mod needed people.
The MGM Super Mod needed people.
Most other mods are weighted down by others attempting to help.
Collabs fall apart.

Ok ... seeing as this topic has gained attention again, is it ok to make a collab to make a mod faster, especially using people that have different experience?

If you have someone who specializes in weapons, then another in vehicles, then another in bitmaps then a third in effe, make a collab/team with those people and poof mods.
