They are page clicks, but they probably reflect on the number of downloads as well :/.
I am no longer active to Halo or MGM, and don't guarantee a response on the forums or through email. I will however linger around the discord room for general chatting. It's been fun!

True but people could click the mod to try and get a big decription.

About removing the Full and CE stuff... sounds like a plan, so I'll plan on it. Not for now, but it'll happen.

Notice:

HDM will be undergoing maintenance on Tuesday, June 14, 2010, and will be inaccessible for a period of about four hours. Our host is moving the site to another data center location in order to improve service.

You can still get an idea which mod is downloaded the most, second most, etc. Also, many mods don't have an 'extra big' description.

@Sparky, the search field needs to be fixed/workable.

It works, we just need redirects and stuff to the correct pages. Notice how wikipedia does it.

By it doesn't work, I mean that I can't type anything in the search field. I notice though when I log out, the page theme changes and the search field actually works.

go under your preferences and make sure you have the default monobook chosen as your skin.

Sure, that works as a workaround, but I still prefer a fix as I think Modern looks better.

Amy, we started out pretty well with including many mod details with the early entries on their downloads page, but it's up to the mod authors to add that info now. It seems I got lazy on this point.

On an unrelated note, the Main Page needs an overhaul, thanks to Moxus' suggestion, which I embrace. I'm going to add a Halo main image to the page and it would be great if we could make this page look spiffy.

To be honest, I liked the old informative page better. Who really wants to be reminded of the extremely bad and old installation disc (which doesn't even apply to the Demo version!)? Also, if someone is going to be visiting this webpage, what are the chances he doesn't know how the main menu looks like, and why would he want to be reminded? And what are now the chances someone is going to look at the news again now that it is out of the way? When the main page becomes so uninteresting and useless, there's no reason to visit it anymore.

Right. So what should we put on the main page?

Nothing was wrong with what used to be on the main page in my opinion. Current news could be put on there, and perhaps the current events page could be changed into something like "All Events." Also a simple link to the how to mods page could suffice, just to indicate where a modder should begin.

Ok, I made it look much nicer, with a single Halo game logo in the middle on top and the "latest news" section below. I'll have to change the Current Events text a little later.

Please add to the latest news.

I get most all my modding tools from HDM, it's much easier than searching for a post and having to deal with other third-party file servers.
