8 tanks on bloodgulch... each side... should i release this?

as some of u might've played this on my server that ive been hosting for hours. its a mod where each side has 8 tanks. and everyone starts with shotguns and theres nothing but shotguns. and yes this mod IS css. which means people do NOT have to download the mod in order to play.

but heres my question to u guys. does this sound interesting to u guys? cause every time someone joins my server,they seem excited seeing all those tanks. haha. the reason why i am not releasing this right now is because i put a lot of work into this and theres people who will take mods and change things and not give me credit,

so vote yes or no plz. and if theres enough yes's i will post a video on youtube, or i will post photos. most likely a video.

hmm...
maybe skin the tanks and edit the shotguns and be a little more creative and it may be acceptable. but good job. and yeah sure release it.

thanks for replying guys. Blarg, i cant make the skins, because if i do, people would have to download the bitmaps file. then the mod wouldnt be css. anyways... i will post a vid on youtube soon, and give u guys the link to it.

You know, you can edit the shotguns projectile and it will be CSS. As for bitmaps, you can internalize and people won't need to switch out bitmaps. While people won't see the bitmap changes, they can join and play it with they're own bitmaps. As for your concerns for people who will try to steal your mod... I haven't exactly seen that really happen that much... O_o
Besides, once it's on the mod list at HDM, (Which is where everyone gets their mods, if you haven't noticed) then... Well that's yours. Your name's on the mod, and if you want, you can go all paranoia and protect. Yarr.

i couldnt really do any video editing and i couldnt play online because the computer i was using was the only computer htat had halo and it couldnt connect to the internet. i will try to post a video of gameplay soon. or i will host a room. but heres the link to the vid

If we ever do a QTVR movie of this, it should take place high in the sky with a nulled HUD, so you can see the tanks on both sides of the map.

Anyhow, that's a unique placement of the tanks. Remember not to put them too close to each other, or you may choose the wrong seat to enter.

You spent a long time on this, you say? How did you do it, since I am familiar with methods that would require only a very short period of time to make this. For example, using Eschaton to replace all references of vehicles in the scnr tag with the scorpion tank, then moving all the vehicles to new locations using SwordEdit.

I agree with Tokage and think you would be fine adding this to the Mod Database at HDM. Nobody will use your work unless you give permission to do so. Also, once you get more experience releasing mods, it won't be such a big deal for someone else to imitate you. (After all, "imitation is the highest form of flattery".)

looks to me like he just made a scenery piece a tank and duplicated it. but what do i know?

Y'know, for a s**ts and giggles map, this might be fun. Do it. Besides, some of the most successful mods have been the simplest.

Besides, at least there's no CE.
