but the fun of it is airplanes. for those long times with nothing to do (but play the campaign... again or play single multiplayer), Red vs Blue is the best thing to do. and i fly way too much. along with that, my relatives dont have internet, so by the time i finish all the episodes, its a week later. the best part is that there are so many that the first ones are forgettable by the time you reach the last.

*bump*

I just had to share the story of the noobiest person I have played on halo. For one thing he used banshees more than half the time. Thats noobish enough right? Well whenever he killed me with a banshee or rockets he would start ranting about how he pwned me!! seriously how stupid can you be!

You wanna hear an even noobier one? This guy always used Banshees, right, not so bad. But then on top of that, he ALWAYS used Fuel Rod Guns and/or rocket launchers and THEN he claimed he was the most "Unnooby" person alive. And he said that we were weak and that he pwned us all. :? Noobier?

i think that is a little worse when they use fuel rods and say that you are weak.

i played this one slayer where this one guy grabbed a banshee an ran people over the entire game. next game, we ganged up on him, the noobie said it was unfair (however, we had been playing real slayer the entire time while dogding him...) that we did that, called us all noobs, and promptly left. escpecially cause we said we would gang up if he didnt get out.

Same here.

And I see a lot of noobs that claim to be awesome. I figure though, how good are you, if you can't take out a noob. To truly be pro, you must be able to pwn all noobs. Even shee/tank/rocket/rod noobs.

Banshees are easy to neutralize. Simply shoot them with the shotgun or Assaule Rfile or Sniper. If they dive at you to crush you, duck, then throw a nade at them while they are stunned on the ground and then finish them off with any weapon you choose. Fuel Rod Gun users are slightly harder, you ahev to try to pick them off at far distances to stay out of range. Tanks are easy enough, just snipe the cockpit. Or, you can throw grenades in its path, they won't be able to move quickly to get out of the way so that works best. Then finish them off with whatever weapon. Rocket Users are the easiest. Stay at moderate distnces so you can easily dodge the missiles and then shoot them in the head with the pistol. There you have it. Anti noob guide 101. :P

I can get rid of any noob with just an AR, pistol and sniper (sometimes grenades). Here's my list of easiest to hardest:

1. Rod noob
2. Rocket noob
3. Warthog noob
4. Scorpion noob
5. Banshee noob

i find in slayer, its easier to control a base and not let anyone get stuff. if they go in, pick em off with nades. usually this works well, especially with lots of players cause their already shooting each other. i got a couple of triple kills. then keep them off the top of the base so they dont tele. i found that shotgun/AR combo does the trick. anyone in the base is pwned by nades and each other, and anyone on top is shot with a quick spray of shot after a nade. ultimate base hogger strategy. i find that shotgun-meele works perfectly. i almost finished the game, but the host decided to play a mod instead. i needed one kill. i got a picture cause i usually dont play that well.

Banshee noob hardest? Ya right.

In slayer, I also like controlling bases. I don't necessarily spawn kill but I try to prevent people from getting what they need. I like using the Plasma Pistol -> Assault Rifle/Shotgun. This combo is very efficient and I like to use it alot.

From Easiest to Hardest:

1 Rockets
2 Banshees (May vary between 1rst and 2nd easiest*)
3 Warthog drivers (May vary between 2nd and 3rd easiest*)
4 Fuel Rod gun users
5 Scorpian Battle Tanks (May vary between 3rd and 5th easiest*)

*What I mean by that is is that it really depends on the driver. Different driver obviously have different meathods of attack. The ones where I put the Astericks are the ones that vary the most. Fuel Rod Gun users and Rocket users generally have the same attack formation so it is easy to counter after some practice.

so it may be decided. a combo of AR/Shotgun with nades are good base hog weapons. and its not spawn killing, its just shooting anyone who comes to your base. and usually, you wont be sniped because potential snipers are dealing with other people and anyone who spawns near you is doing the same until you lob a nade on em.

For some reason the shotgun seems more effective in Slayer... :?

true... my main idea in a slayer game is to control the base. but it only seems to work with about 8 people. cause then they spawn at the other, and are able to get a good weapon. but with lots of players, they dont have time. i was only sniped once from the other base and once from a cliff.
