I agree; I'm finding that between my new hardware and the OS, I'm enjoying myself. It's anything but like a PC.

Many thanks to the people who have made my years on MGM and on Halo Demo so memorable.

Just a heads up, Nil wrote that, and I quoted it.

The following executable contains both nil's key hack and a new modification that allows HD Intel to communicate with Gamespy's Halo Demo list.

This means:
  • *This version registers as Halo Demo
*It will load all available Halo Demo servers, the same way original Demo did
However:
  • *Due to netcode differences, this version will be unable to join original demo servers
*I am unsure if the servers created with this version appear in the server list

Tested this running two instances of Halo on my computer, I don't think they appear in the server list.
I am no longer active to Halo or MGM, and don't guarantee a response on the forums or through email. I will however linger around the discord room for general chatting. It's been fun!

Requires more tests, two instances will not always operate as two computers would.

Let us test this. I have a bit of time, Ill leave the server up for 30 minutes on one of my desktops. its called Full game server testicle. Running original CTF for testing purposes. Can we still make our own servers instead of gamespy's?
No one is online so i'm taking it down. Tell me a good time before 12 pm (its almost 3 pm here)

I tested this.

The server does not show up on the gamespy list.
If I try to join my own game via Direct IP (as a second player), it gives me a "Your CD Key is Invalid" error.

Either you are groping for answers, or you are asking God and listening to Jesus.

It's not there. see my edit ^

Even if you joined my game, it would not work because of CD key error.

But if you want to try:

join 72.90.182.81:2302

EDIT: You can join via Direct IP and it works. Mgalekgolo just joined my room.

To summarize:

- You can't join your own game, no matter how it's hosted.
- Games don't show up in Gamespy lobby or LAN lobby.
- Other players can join your game only via Direct IP.
Either you are groping for answers, or you are asking God and listening to Jesus.

Thanks for all the info. More needs to be done to remove Key checks before multiplayer can function.

to clarify, you can't join a game that your computer is joined to already... invalid cd key.
Either you are groping for answers, or you are asking God and listening to Jesus.
