Windows UI isn't bad, none of your points really have any weight. I have what I need in my taskbar, icons can be whatever size you want them to be, it's probably because my resolution is almost twice the size of yours that they look condensed. And OSX isn't exactly all too circle-y or triangle-y as you may think it is. I'm not saying OSX UI isn't bad, but neither is Windows 7. Vista was an atrocity though.
However, I don't buy an OS for what it looks like. I buy it for how it works and what I can do with it. And
this isn't helping your case of how great your constantly changing background is.

I hope your not referring to my desktop, because the spacing is far apart, the icons are big, and it doesn't cover the whole desktop.

Yes I still consider yours to be cluttered, look at mine, then yours.

Anything is possible when your thread is more than five pages. I'm on a proxy.

Couple things I'd like to point out: Halo and X-plane 9 (at least I assume) are both games. They can go in your games folder. Emulation, developing, and games can all go in your apps folder. Also... an apps folder? Really? There is an applications folder which is pretty easy to access, especially with lion's gestures.
Yeah, really though, it's much better than it was. Someone normal can find things on your desktop now! Yay!

I don't want to have to go into the games folder to edit x-plane and halo files, saves me a couple of seconds. And I haven't really explored gestures.

If you put your maps file in your favorites, and your x-plane file equivalent there too, then you can get there rather quickly from the open menu in whatever app you're using.
