WHO DID WHAT?

Post by Sparky » Sun Jan 15, 2012 12:35 pm

Alright, people. We have 5 companies listed as having contributed to the Halo franchise, and now there are more being added. So let this topic be the official method of ascertaining each company's contributions to this madness.

I'll add the info to HDM as the discussion unfolds. Tell us about any information related to the roles of any of these companies in the production of Halo. You can also post e-mail correspondence and links to halopedia or other halo info sites... even the dreaded wikipedia.

- Bungie
- Gearbox
- Microsoft Game Studios / 343 Industries
- Destineer / MacSoft
- WestLake Interactive
(any specific developers, using their names)

Serious tasty bits from Dave Mertz, lead designer of Halo, over on the Gearbox forums this evening. Highlights:
  • The first bugfix for Halo PC is already almost finished, and will be ready soon after the game's release. Two more patches/updates are in the pipeline.
  • Additional features are coming soon.
  • Game tweaking to conform to the needs of the CPL (and tournament play in general) is underway.
Check out the whole post (and, indeed, the whole thread, if you've got an hour to kill) - rest assured, Gearbox is VERY aware of the issues being brought forward by the community (even though most of the vocal ones right now have stolen the game), and are working hard to make things better.
