Import Something Recursively Into Bloodgulch
Here's how to import things that have been recursively exported from other places, for example the stuff in Mota's tag pack.
Required Apps:




Notes: If you don't have any of these, they are probably in Fonzie's modding pack. I have an older version of Demo Hack, any version that works is good.
Importing (Recusively)
This is the act of importing a meta file and all of its dependencies.
1. Open your map in demo hack and switch it to full

2. Open the map in HHK
3. Click on Tools>Import Recursively

4. Look through what ever folder you have your tags in and select the meta file of the actual thing you want to import. For this tut we will be importing Big Base, which is a piece of scenery, so we will open base1.scen.

5. Next, open the folder containing all the tags. Normally the folder is called Tags.

6. Now save and quit from HHK.

Perfecting the Model
This is when we fix the model so that it doesn't make Halo crash.
1. Open HMT
2. Load your map into HMT
3. Go to the MOD2 tag and find the model of what you have just imported. Click on it to highlight it.

4. With the MOD2 highlighted (previous step), click Inject Meta (on the right).

5. Select the .MOD2 meta file of the thing you are importing. If you're using Mota's tag pack, this is already provided.

6. Now, down at the bottom of HMT, in tag specific, highlight LOD1. Then, click Append Raw.

7. In the window that appeared, open the vertices and the indices of the model. Make sure not to mix these up.

8. Quit HMT, we are almost done.
Eschaton stuff
Fix the shaders and spawn the imported item. This part is where your creativity comes in. No pictures because I assume most of you know enough about Eschaton for these steps.
1. Open your map in Eschaton
2. In the dependency swapper, go through until you find your model.
3. Find all the things that look like they probably aren't in bloodgulch (this part is hard to teach, but it's normally pretty easy to tell what's already in bloodgulch and what isn't). Change the things that aren't in bloodgulch to something that is.
4. Now, still in the dependency swapper, go to SCNR and click on bloodgulch.
5. Replace one of the existing things with what ever you imported. If you imported a scen, replace a scen, vehi replace vehi, weap replace weap, etc..
6. If necessary, reposition the item in Eschaton's scenario editor.

Finish by changing your map back to demo in Demo Hack.
If halo crashes, repeat step 3 in Eschaton Stuff. If it crashes after that, try starting over.
