In my Grunt mod, I swapped the Warthog in Hex with a Ghost, and did the same to the Banshee, except replacing with a turret. However, since the Rocket Warthog never seems to want to swap for me, I had to inject the meta of the Ghost into the Rocket Warthog. The result was a Ghost, but no-one without the mod would be able to see that it's a Ghost.

ahh, ok, and the reason for that isnt because the vehicle was semi-CSS it was the mod2

Zap (at least I think it was zapconquest) and I tested this out and we found that the vehicles appear doubled for players without the map - and only about half of the vehicles work. It's the random scenery-swapping bug, in addition to the reset game vehicle pileup over the blue team warthog.
About the Blue Warthog Restart Game Pileup bug:
Why does this blue-warthog pileup occur? Is there a place within the hex of each vehi tag that specifies where the vehicle should respawn upon restarting the game, or is the length of the coordinate data the problem with the vehi tag? Is the blue warthog the first listed vehi data in the map, perhaps a default object that gets used when the custom vehi doesn't have the right attribute?

i think the vehicles do have a place where they should respawn, but when you add one it sets that spot as the default, im not sure if anyone has actually found the hex code that tells where it respawns, but you could look into it, try look at the warthog in textedit, you might find something there
