Umm..if you read the novels, the shield world is not literally a shield world, i.e. a world covered by a shield >.<
It is actually something like a different dimension. The Forerunners created it so when the Halos were activated (to destroy the Flood) they could preserve the other lifeforms in the universe..

Moxus, you explain.

Shield World. Essentially, it's a bomb-shelter for the Reclaimers during the activation of the Halos. It is not a world with a shield, it's a mini Dyson Sphere.

You didnt have to read it out of the novels. Its in Halo 3. And thanks for giving away the rest of the game. Luckily, I have gotten to the shield world (which is fricken huge!!!) and I had found out about the new halo being built to replace Installation 04, which is hilarious, cause then there was no point in destroying I 04.

The Ark is likely what you're referring to in Halo 3. The Shield world does not appear in Halo 3.

I appreciate the compliments. You can't really "pwn" yourself with the Ark. It's outside the range of the Halo effect, and so therefore outside the Galaxy. Unless, of course, there was a replacement Halo ring being constructed there... Like in Halo 3 .
