It's a lame attempt for Microsoft to make a little extra money before the new xBox is revealed. This is something they should've done in 2006 or so.

I'm a bit confused. The Kinect..is it a new version of the xbox? Or is it just an add-on that you can "attach" to your 360?
And what games work with Kinect, because as far as I can see, it's "xbox 360 jump in" thing at the end has the swirly thing, same as the ones at the end of Halo Reach...

Well Taxi, the 360 was released a while ago. The xBox 3 will no doubt be announced within the next two years simply because they need to progress with technology and competition.
The xbox should've been upgraded around the time they removed the premium option from their website, to compensate for their lack of variety. It was either the shitty Arcade, or the overly priced Elite.
I don't understand why people have an appeal to this thing.
So what it has wifi? If you already have live, then I don't see a problem with the connection.
The hard drive? Who actually needs that much room anyway?
The design? It looks like a special edition Midnight Club xbox.
New quiet fan? Just buy a better fan and install it yourself, fans are so easy to replace.
In total, I'm sure one could upgrade to a much better xbox if they were to invest $100-150 bucks or so into it.

And besides, why should you? You can install any game you're going to be playing for a substantial period of time. Once installed, the regular Xbox is quiet.

I just bought the arcade when itCaene out and added a harddrive I bought off of eBay to it... Who cares if it's quiet and looks like batman? You can do everything it does for cheaper!
