Do you want to edit your Weapons?
then use my easy weapon editor for mac.
It has a built-in tutorial

For making pk3 files i build a little tool.
iPak3 only drop your files in it and it will creat a pk3 file.

Weapon editor: Achilles v1.3

Pk3 maker: iPak v1.2

Also, if the interest here is the pk3 maker then you don't need it. PK3 and IWD (CoD 2 files) are just renamed zip files. Just change the extension to zip and you can open the files.
