well, because MINECRAFT IS FULL OF GLITCHEZ! :O how far from the previous portal is the new one?


uhm, lemme paraphrase that again: what is the distance between the first and second portal in the main world?

But the question is why did it generate a new one? It should have gone back to my first one in the overworld, it's under 1000 spaces away.

waaaait a second… you first created the portal that in the main world goes to the one at the top-right side of the image, correct?
Then, in the nether, you built the portal in the center of the pic; and it connected to the one in the mine, right?


[size=70](if so)[/size] well the explanation is simple! it was [i]you[/i] who created the portal in the npc mine simply by using the portal in the center of the picture! For some reason it didn't connect with the one you had in the main world and simply generated a new one. underground.

Also, I'm not sure if portals are NPC buildable.

All the worlds I have tried have a mineshaft thing at 177,-550 >.> Not very helpful.

I'm trying seeds, if I find it I'll let you know.

Also, it's raining and night time right now, but as soon as it clears up I'll take pic of surface.

But I went into the nether, walked 100 or so spaces away, created another nether portal (didn't know how to fly) so I could get back up to the nether portal I had previously created, and ended up in this room next to the mineshaft.


Another interesting find. At least for me, may be well known. Are close seeds really this closely generated?

And finally: Derp, you can just type in the number. Went there again and found the same room. No portal. But I'm still confused as to how it ended up generating a portal there.

Had to find it again.

I'm not sure how the seed words translate to numbers, but I think the seed was called GIANT MUSHROOMS.

I had to make a nether portal in the nether to get there. It's around 500 spaces from my first nether portal and I didn't create it. I actually found two in this one run down mineshaft. I can give you the seed and the coords.

I don't think there is much released about npc villages... but I was in some run down mineshaft thing and there is an npc nether portal...???
