Haven't seen it with lava, but it was pretty cool on my private server where I made a theme park with a "huge" "elaborate" waterslide. The vines and the iron bars and the water dripping off the sides of the boat...very neat.

Steam Screenshots (full album of the server, with more Minecraft screenshots later)

Here's one with the water dripping off:

Made all with 1.8, but was testing 1.9 at time of screenshots.

Yes, I was the guy on Reddit here if you actually go on there enough. O_o This is that tower in the BG.

As it doesn't look like 1.9 is coming out anytime soon, what does everyone think of bringing the main back with a portal to a 1.8 world? That way you can work in the main and when 1.9 comes out its not a problem to start over.

In that case, pi is exactly 3.

As for the rain glitch, that reminds me of Halo's physics, where you make portals for indoor entrances so the weather stays outside.

*facepalm*

Anyway:
In the 1.8 Pre Release, rain can sometimes fall through blocks, such as stone and dirt. This includes Grass.
Rain can also fall through wooden plank blocks.
I realize it's no longer the pre release, but still applies.

I don't have a house currently in which it doesn't rain. I think they somehow unfixed it.

Well what if we use octadecimal? Then we can be happy until H!... And so on.

Rather, X is the release, and Y is a sub-release. But more or less the same thing.

Aw dammit. I hated those so much in chemistry.

Do note that I said "in math" for a reason though. Because yes, in math, .1 is equal to but not the "same" as .10

In terms of numbers, .1 = .10 regardless of significant figures, .10 is just more accurate. In terms of applications, however, the points do not signify decimals. So in this case .1 ≠ .10 .

Thats funny, because in math 1.1 and 1.10 are equal. Just saying...

More Likely we get 1.9.1
Notch said so. Also, significant figures. Bitch.
