Monoman if this is for a new server map you will need to do that yourself using MCEdit or just use the standard map that was generated. You can use other peoples maps but first you have to open your server map with MCEdit then open the map you want to use then copy the map you want and paste it over the current server map. For some reason you cannot swap out the map you have to edit it.

I just start a mining base, gather enough resources, then build a house.
Other than that yea...thats about it. In multiplayer classic, we build tons of stuff, only for it to reset the next day

In Alpha, I usally just make one house, maybe expand on it every now and then. however, for full custom maps, there is SkyLands for alpha. I haven't played classic much, though multiplayer is fun.

Has anyone got into creating their own maps for this? What kinds of maps do you prefer?
