The .sh files don't need Python to run just Bash which you run when you are in the Terminal. I suspect the guy doing that tutorial didn't know Python was already installed.

MCP uses .bat files for windows, but for macs you need to run .sh files. decompile, recompile etc.

I don't see anything in MCP that you would need to download Python. All Macs come with Python pre-installed now. I didn't notice anything in the Python tools that are included MCP that you couldn't use the default Python install.

also, my bad for double post My phone won't let me see EDIT when there are pictures that big. I meant to make the block look like adminium so we could place it but I got the wrong ID and everything was compiled anyway. I'll add more to this mod. also, the hardness of the block is 2.3, while stone is 1.5. explosion resistance is half a stone. now I have to learn how to make it drop a block or 2(hinthint). Its not as hard as you think, its more trial and error than programing language. also, did anyone get errors installing the mod?

I am very happy for you, Human! i hope to see more of you!

EDIT: are you able to add a crafting recipe that yields a brick block? not another block that looks like it, but the same block that is crafter with bricks. <_< …do you know if it's possible?

No but seriously, I used python to run MCP and Its really hard, and annoying to fix errors. But I made a small mod, And Being first, you can't complain.
features:
No burn for zombeez and skeletons
A new block
recipe for the block
Stone(not cobble) In the 2X2 crafting grid.

I'll Make a Tutorial video for mod installing, Mod making, Setting up MCP, Messing with Seeds. So enjoy please, and PLEASE comment!
