Lack of squid

I'm not sure if other mob spawns are rarer too, I have actually seen some of them. But NO squids anywhere since recent. I don't know if it's just me and I'm unlucky, but I went to 10000, -10000 without seeing one squid. Has anyone else been noticing a lack of passive mob spawns? Squid in particular?

I saw a bunch before whatever happened. Now I can't find any either.

The issue was resolved. I observed this problem for a ~5 hour period.

You tars.. I know it was I was just joking cause it was weird to see squid in such a small body of water and it's not even close to the coast
