Minecraft: Weather Conditions

Alrightly I've been posting a lot on Minecraft. Does anyone know how to remove snow/ice in the map? I prefer non-snowy maps. Seriously, they look much better, cause you'll get bored of the constant snowing and white landscape. Gah.
In case you didn't know, the map folders are located at <Username>/Library/Application Support/Minecraft

i think its one of the Fs like F1 or F3 or whatever

Snow is a currently a non-toggle-able feature. if you don't want snow, you have to generate a new map.

I have never gotten real snow. i always place it. I love snow.

Yeah, I don't think there will be modding tools for mac for a while. perhaps you can find someone on here who has a windows to help?

well they did release the source code for minedit...
idk if that means anything.
