On OS9, with GR1 and DS, I can't seem to install a mod. I'm not sure where exactly to put the files, and can't get it to where I can go to the "mods" section of options in game and just select the mod by name. At least not successfully. Any clues for this noob?

What mod are you trying to install?

You want to place your mod into Ghost Recon Data/Mods folder. When you go ingame, go to options and there is tab for mods. Now even if you didn't install your mod correctly you should still see Desert Siege listed as a mod.

If Desert Siege is active then it will be listed in the right column, if not then in the left column.

I was trying to install some weapons mod. BIF I think? May have been for PC but I'd heard it would install on a Mac too.

I did put everything in the mods folder, but only saw a bunch of un-named, blank selectable spaces on the left side. Selecting and trying to make any of those active didnt work.

Desert Siege is listed there, yes, and that works fine.

A few things to check.

One is the folder name of the mod. Ghost Recon doesn't like some characters in folder names.

Also, is the mod inside another folder. Sometimes a mod will be packaged inside another folder and that inside folder is what needs to be put in the Mods folder.

One thing I did notice was that the sound files were all WAV. This comes from the fact that it was a PC mod. BIF weapons mod. So, I'm downloading the mac version from this site, and we'll see how that works.

I mean I can easily convert sound files, but I suspect there are other minor differences that made problems. The name of the folder was weird too. I'll post again if I have problems again, but I doubt I will. You've been very helpful. Thanks!
