Mac Gaming Mods

The game sucks until you add the Desert Combat mod, Big at 594meg but well well wotth it.

Good mod, pitty I cant fly those blackhawks yet though but I'll learn.

lol yeah flying those planes and helecopters in DC seems quite difficult to learn, but it'll get easier when u try a lot

but i like flying those helecopters in BF: vietnam better.. hehe u can actually shoot down planes, whereas in DC.. the controls are pretty sensitive, so controling isn't too ez

They can be tough, so practice in a map like :Sea Rigs", try and fly into the hanger on the Aircraft carrier, then land on all the Pads on the rigs, try that in both types of copter, do that and you can fly a copter. Simple!!!!

but u noe wut i hate sometimes? the bots on ur team ALWAYS get to the planes/choppers first.. so u gotta wait like.. 5 mins until they respawn again

I've practiced and got much better now, I can fly and land them fine and they are very fun . I love flying the blackhawk with two people in the guns on that map with the city on one side of the lake and the blackhawks on the other.

everytime i try and get on a DC server, i CTD (crash to desktop).

I activate DC in the MOD list, but no luck. Regular 1942 works just fine and i can play on those servers without any issues.

I'll try a reinstall, but.......

any help?

Desert Combat got updated recently and the new version doesn't run correctly on a Mac. The last I heard Aspyr was actually looking into the problem. Your best bet for playing MP with DC is to join everyone on *Damn's server when they have it up.
