yeah.... halo CE. i finally have it. anyone know how i can make my own BSP( i just got gmax)? i was thinking of putting bloodgulch and some other random bsp (:

dont worry XP. i learn and adapt fast. i already half know how to make a collision, and have already edited and rebuilt tutorial. ive had it for 3 hours tho

ok so i made a 3 seated lifepod XP. and if you want me to release my 15 seat version of the L4D zombie respawner i can. i also gave the hunter a HUD.
Im really bored so i want some requests.
also i made a 4 seated warthog.

oh yeah, you could make a ghost with three serious seats! and by serious i mean that the two that are not the driver's can use weapons properly! D:

like, how can i say... >_> I once made a ghost with two seats: driver and passenger. I moved the passenger seat on the right wing of the ghost, and named it w-passenger. i thought "cool! now people can support ghosts with weapons! :D" ...but no! When you go shooting while into the passenger seat your projectiles come out from the same place the ghost's do! D:


...like, you get my problem? >_< it's like if shooting rockets from warthog's passenger seats resulted in shooting it from the turret. How do you fix that?

Lol i remember that ghost. well i could make that, but ill have to do a few tests before im sure the weapons can go out of the weapon (i have a few theory's). also i dont know how to move where the seats are but ill figure it out. im bored so ill start now.

lol. i can barely do shit with it now. halomaps is a good place to ask questions. can you even recompile scenario's? tool build-cache-file then the path to your scenario XP
ok so i made the seats, and Im testing out my theorys.
i now know how to model bsp's....

A drop pod that can be used in both Firefight-ish maps and Campaign.

Drops Elites, pop-off cover that can do some damage if you're standing right in front of it, and detonates after a certain amount of time for denial of resources (doesn't do much damage, more for removing object to avoid lag).

taxi ive finished the ghost, can you move the seats?
and ill see what i can do about the drop pod, but it will blow up on contact with the ground but wont hurt the elite. not sure if possible though. where is the vehicle collision referenced? globals?

Actually ... here's what it should do if possible:
  1. Spawn at spawn point intact with Elite in it
  2. Upon crash, sink nose into ground and stay that way
  3. After 5 (should be able to set in Eschy) seconds, pop off cover (maybe a projectile, or spawn a seat-less vehicle?)
  4. After a little longer than that (should be able to set time in Eschy) both cover and pod blow up into a purple mist.

2310: actually, what about this:

- the drop pod is a vehicle that absorbs falling damage; as soon as it lands, it dies due to the high fall it took.
- when dying, the destroying effect spawns a garb piece shaped like the drop pod door (herp derp)
- the whole pod should be modeled upside down, and given a phys tag with its center of weight way up above it; so that when falling it will head down.
why is that? so that when touching the ground, the elite will be forced out of the vehicle!
- the vehicle dying damage must not be passed to children under any circumstance!

...yeah! what about it? o_o
