Halo Demo hosting problem

whenever i host a halo demo match, no one can join unless they enter a direct ip adress, and I have no password on. I can join other peoples games. I don't have any firewall settings on or anything. I even downloaded halo demo again and re-installed, but that didn't work. Can someone help me?

it has to do with Wired internet i think.

are you using a wireless router? It may be worth it to try fowarding the required ports. If you need help on that, I suggest visiting portforward.com.

OH! THAT'S WHY!!! I haven't been able to host for years! But then my router broke so I directly connected. Then I started playing Halo and it worked. I thought it was just luck that it started working. I guess I was wrong.
