Flying hogs

i have a code where you change just one byte and it supposed to make the warthogs fly and in all practicality they do "fly" but they jsut kinda float around randomly not moving or goin faster than a pelican, its very unstable, so i tried swapping the physics of the banshee with the hog and that turned the hog into this crazy bucking bronco kinda thing, so im wondering how i can give the warthog the exact same physics as the banshee for good flying. thanks.

Well, you could make the Banshee have a warthog appearence. Only prob is that the hog is kinda slanted upward and there is only the driver seat.

what is mod2? is it models? like each power up, weapon, vehicle, etc. has one?

Yeah, mod2 is the 3D model. Everything in the game has one. Everything visible that is.

There should be a thread on here giving a rather vague, but informative hint into the flying hog problem. Search a bit, dig a bit, you'll find it.

I think Deox is the hint giver, but I'm not sure.

On a tangent, what is it about swapping the physics that makes the hog or whatever go crazy? Different ground points? other?

if you give the banshee the appearance of a warthog, that would be neat, but give the warthog the phyisics of a banshee would be neater.. i think i know how to deo it!!! if i make it, i ll post it.... its easier than it sounds!!! ZOMG!!! lol i really know how... be back soon....

I would recommend getting AIM. Mac mod developers tend to be heavy mac fans and hate anything and everything to do with it, (except Halo) I do. AIM is the most used forum of communication here. Also it looks like {SBF}Leader is offering you mods. If he is offering you something I would do some work to get it.

My thoughts, you don't have to do anything, disregard me I don't care.

Yes, definitely get an AIM account and set up iChat. It'll grow on you, it's a nice little chat program. And yeah, it's always nice to get mods because you can open them up in HexEdit and do some comparing. Study the changes and their effects and learn to do it yourself.

now do they fly like those pelicans? or like the banshees cause frankly i dont like the flying physics of the pelican, its a little too large and unwieldly plus when your trying to go higher its quite difficult... with a banshee point up and up you go (you know what i mean)
