Issue with full maps, etc.

Post by P!ckoff » Fri Dec 29, 2006 2:05 pm

I just got full a couple of days ago, and have had a great time, but have a few Qs.
1. Where are the maps, movies, and other folders that are asociated with Halo? U know, where the chillout.map and bitmaps.map is? All i found that is halo related is the app, no folder. Ive tried ctr. click on the app, but all it does is close the window. However, it does load maps from somewhere...

2. How do u make deticated servers? i know that there are too many already, but i'd delete mine when im done...

3. What is console and how do u use it?

Thx. (Holy crap theres 2776 players on full...)

I got Halo Full a few weeks ago too. When I installed it, they were in a folder in the Halo folder. The folder was called "Maps" just like Halo Demo.

My suggestion for you is to right click (Control + Click for Mac) on the Halo launcher. In there should be a folder witht he maps in it. It should be called "Maps". If not, then your thing is screwed. :/

i swear, ive tried everything. ive done that, and it just makes everything on the desktop dissapear. ive searched in finder for "chillout.map" and other things that should be in the folder, nothing. I'm vexed, i dunno.... it works, i guess thats whats important... I found the Halo full doc folder though... maybe the entire folder is in the doceuments file. :(

EDIT: I reinstalled halo to the desktop and nothing new showed up. The oringinal launcher was on the desktop when i reinstalled it, but no " Halo copy" or something of the like showed up, and no halo folder.

Go to applications...right click on the halo symbol...click show package contants...click the folder that says contents...than the folder that says resources....than the folder that says game data...than you should see the maps folder...Have fun :P

BUMP! AGAIN!

I have a new Intel with a right click now and it works fine. My old comp was running 10.3.9 and was a G4, and kinda screwed up.
