haha sorry but I have a lot of people including myself wanting to know how exactly step by step to do this. We've never modded and out of the whole search this is the only forum that relates to fixing the scope blur. I personally like playing with pixel shaders and it comes with blur. We would love to know by step by step or video on how to take the blur off without having to play with just vector shaders. Thanks whoever can do this!!

You're not putting any effort into trying. The process is very straight forward. Open the map, go to the appropriate tag for the weapon that is of the wphi tag class. Edit a value from the selection menu and that's it. There's no need for a step by step video since it's just one value being altered. I'm going to be real nice though and post a screen shot with everything you should need.

You should have mentioned that before. That issue is completely different. That's not the stock map. Something else is going on. With clean maps that should not be an issue. That or you might be using a localized version of the game. More info please.

Fuel is implying that the OP is trying to edit the KW (klan wars) map file from clan halo to be able to gain an unfair advantage there by making them a "nub".

huh.. i'm not trying to gain a unfair advantage.... I dont think anyone in the whole league plays with blur on...anyone usually would play on vector shaders to get the no-scope blur off, but I was just wondering if it could be done when you play with advanced shaders. Also I was asking about Halo Full Version, but halo demo would be cool too. But I still get this error for some reason.. I bought the game myself when it was around $20 and this happens when I try it on the "mac demo version" as well.. and if you cannot do this to the kw3 map which everyone on ch plays on then I guess this is a waste of time, cause I usually play pubs with the kw3 map on like majority of CH. Thanks for asking my questions though.

The blur doesn't affect your aim that much...

lol when your sniping or pistoling from far makes it kind of difficult, and the topic wasn't about how much it affects your shooting it was about if someone could show me how its done, and someone was kindly able to do so....but it came to a error and I needed help. its ok if you can still shoot mediocre with your blur, but that wasnt what the topic was about... no offense of course. It's just I'd rather shoot without a blurry halo chief from afar and i can't tell what weapons he's weilding and also it's kinda annoying after a while when its all clear and then when you pull out your pistol its blurry when u try to zoom. and im open to any ways to fix this! so feel free to post if you have a idea.

You know what... nvm its not worth it. Thanks to everyone who ACTUALLY helped. Rather than state the obvious or not even try to answer the question.

The solutions are simple. The problem is that certain maps have protected the name entries on tags to make it more difficult to figure out what you're editing. For unedited maps there should not be any problem. For maps like the KW maps, they are effectively broken. Most likely editable but they break the design parameters of the map file system. They might still be playable but do not conform to standard (like bad IE webcode).
