I don't think so. Looks like all you did was open the application in a hexeditor and alter what filenames it reads to load the maps. I'll reserve further judgement until I can actually look at it. Shouldn't you have contacted macsoft as well? Since they are the ones who are responsible for halo for mac. I wouldn't count on either of them endorsing a breach of the EULA anytime soon in either case.

when you go to halomaps.org and u find a map u want to download and convert where does it tell you which map to convert it too?

Yes, we're recording selections here so that people can have a standard map to convert to so they can actually play together. You can convert a map to any of the playable maps as long as it's the correct type (SP->SP, MP->MP, UI->UI).

Could someone give me a link to a converted Hugeass map? I dled it and converted it, but my Halo crashes when I play it.

Just for all your info, I converted it to MP, the map I specified for it to replace was Infinity, and I have an Intel Macbook.
