Universal Disk Replacement

WOW. So. Yeah. (Sticky Please?)

Right after I created a disk that will fool Halo UB into thinking that the original disk has been inserted, I suddenly see and remember many topics needing something like this.

Here's what it is.

Contained in this very, very small download (1.1 Mb) is an installer which will copy a .dmg file and open it in Disk Utility, where it can be burned to a disk. When the burned disk is inserted, Halo UB (2.02) will think that the original disk has been inserted, even if you lost that ages ago. See Read Me for complete instructions.

Compared to (original):

What it will do:

~)Allow a person who has lost their Halo UB disk but not deleted the files from their computer to play Halo UB

What it will not do:

~)Install Halo (illegal)

~)Bypass the CD-Key (you will still need one to play)

~)World Peace. I know you were hoping.

Essentially it just poses for the original disk.

Please trust me, this is completely legal. No game data is contained of any sort. See Read Me for complete details.

It will be slightly harder for users of 10.3.9 and below to use this, but it is possible and the Read Me covers it

Please don't misuse, and have fun! And, read the Read Me, PLEASE!

-Note: as of now, my corresponding 1.5.2 file is Not WORKING!!! Damn. Anyways. To Help, if any 1.5.2 disk holders could send me a non-resized picture of the window that it pops up in by default, plus a file containing ALL the files on it (invisible included) minus the .DS_Store file and the installer.

Then maybe I missed something since AI have been gone. When I left a lot of people had trouble playing Halo because their disk was lost. Has another way of fooling Halo arrived since then?

I honestly don't know. I don't have to plug anything in, I just copied everything onto my computer, and entered a key and it runs. I honestly would have bought it, but it is rated M I think, and there was no way I would have been able to get it without my parents knowing....

If it was so pointless, why did you have to comment on a pointless comment then?????

Do you have a PPC computer LAPTOPER? In which case you might have an <1.5.2 version of Halo, which does not require a disk. This is for v2.0 or later, Halo Universal.
