Can't get model into Wings 3d.

I've looked in just about every tut, I've searched, I've experimented and I still can't get a model into wings 3d. Heres what I did: I opened HMT I went down to mod2>assault rifle>save meta it made a weapons folder on my desktop. I opened OBJconverter, clicked open, opened bloodgulch, opened weapons>assault rifle>assault rifle.mod2.meta. went back to OBJconverter clicked geometry 0 it made "my model" I opened wings 3d clicked open and of course the file couldn't be opened because it was "faded-out".

Please help me. I can't find a single tut on this with the exception of a model injection tut which is no help.

~~~Alex
I was just lookig for that model, I wanted to see if I can import it into Oni.
Could you kindly upload that file for me?
If so, you can use this account and upload a zip of the files:
umm, you could get the model yourself tho...
- Open HMT
- Go to Mod2 > Assault Rifle (FP also)
- Hit Save Meta
- Open OBJconverter
- Open Bloodgulch.map
- Select the Assault Rifle Meta you just saved
- Click Geometry 0
- Highlight one of the LoD's
- Export to .OBJ
- There's your model, now repeat with the FP meta
*may not be exact, check the custom model injection tut in FMP4
If you truly cannot do it for some reason, let me know and I'll get it for you. i just dont like helping someone if they arent willing to try it themselves
I don't have Halo, so I can't do any of the steps.
How so? They're models, and most likely you got them from the Demo version. Even if you didn't, the AR is used in both Demo and Full, so how then would it be illegal to give something from the free Demo to someone else?
theres still legal involved in the demo. Just because the demo is free doesn't mean you can legaly distribute and copy it. Read all the legal stuff, if you haven't deleted it, which you probably have. I read it but it didn't say anything so I guess your free to go.
Halo Demo is copyrighted material, ripping it and entering it into another game, would be violating that copyright.
"Which you probably have?" Please, don't be so short with me. There'd be no purpose to deleting it. My only ignorance does not exceed the depth of the fact that I simply have not read the legal text. I saw no point at the time that I downloaded Halo Demo, as I did not know at the time (around 3 years ago) that I would ever be doing anything illegal with it.
There are of course legitimate uses of coprighted material. Ripped stuff in mod of another game doesn't fall under that. Not that it's ever stopped people around here before.
