Okay thankyou Modzy. One last thing how much ram should my mac have to convert a medium sized map in less than 120 seconds?

EDIT: now my harbinger everytime i try to convert a map it says the Exception out of bounds this application must shut down now. Why is this happening??

NilObjectException? That happens when the headers are messed up. I think. Anyway, it should be the same. If it doesn't work from the PC to the Mac, save it in the Mac HHK and it should work. Maybe for Mac to PC save it in PC HHK? :|

CE can convert to mac
CE can convert to pc
CE can play by Halo custom edition

PC cannot convert to mac ( 50 % not sure or crash )
Mac cannot convert to pc ( 50 % not sure or crash )

Leader Mod ( Pc ) can play only at Pc
BUT
Minor mod can play by mac or pc

Leader mod ( mac ) can play only at mac
BUt
Minor mod can play by mac or pc

Mac cannot convert to pc ( 50 % not sure or crash )(because you dont need to they work anyway)

(this next bit doesn't make any sense if someone can decipher it please do)
Leader Mod ( Pc ) can play only at Pc
BUT
Minor mod can play by mac or pc

Leader mod ( mac ) can play only at mac
BUt
Minor mod can play by mac or pc

Um. Minor mods can be played on both, but bigger and better mods tend not to. E.g. Cryosis needed porting, FTW needed porting all that stuff.

oh i get you now
it would have made sense like this
what would have made sense if this is what zanghfei wrote:
a great Mod like FTW ( Pc ) can play only on a Pc without porting it to mac
BUT
a not so good mod like a projectile swap map can play on mac or pc

a great mod for mac like crossing can play only on a mac
BUt
Minor mod like proj swapping can play on mac or pc.

I cannot honestly give an estimate on how much computer power you'd need to run Harbinger effectively. I can say it would be a very good idea to have enough RAM to handle normal operation and have enough left over that is in excess of the file size of your target map. I highly recommend multi-core CPUs as Harbinger runs primarily on a second thread and depending on your hardware may in fact run slower because of it (note: this is necessary to avoid the ui completely locking up). Your time estimate is about on par with what other people have reported. Keep in mind that Harbinger is doing a partial rebuild so the run time of it's conversions should be compared to HMT and Eschaton 0.7 rebuilding.

In general PC and Mac maps are identical with very minor differences. A Harbinger conversion has no difference between the PC and Mac versions. I have found that many mods that do not work for Macs on the 1.5.X build of Halo do work on the 2.0 build (UB).
