Now that 1.8 is out and we are testing 1.8. What seed should we use or try out? I currently have just a random seed for the official 1.8. Did everyone like the Mac Gaming Mods seed?

I like Mac gaming mods but theres no village close. We should do village. I still prefer that seed.

The current random seed on the test server has a village close to spawn.

I will probably bring the main back online this weekend. From what I have been reading when 1.9 comes out we may need a new world again for the new features.

Has anyone seen a date for 1.9? I'm wondering if we should just use the current map as the main until 1.9 then do a new world.

The main issue for 1.9 seems to be that there are Nether strongholds and that the NPCs won't spawn in the existing villages. On the other hand, seeing as a pre-release was already put out yet again, it seems to me that 1.9 itself should be released pretty damn soon. We may want to wait until then after all.

We'll probably need a new one for .10 too. Best to wait it out until the official release, and try not to do anything permanent.

Thats funny, because in math 1.1 and 1.10 are equal. Just saying...

In terms of numbers, .1 = .10 regardless of significant figures, .10 is just more accurate. In terms of applications, however, the points do not signify decimals. So in this case .1 ≠ .10 .
