I read
this topic, and thought about it. Using the missing Weapon ID, could you make the energy sword human-usable? You would switch the ID to both human and covenant and then switch off the bitmask "explodes when hits floor" to off, could you not use it? Now that I think about it, can an advanced modder use the plugin edit to make that usable then PM me the new weap.xml? Man, would that be great. THANKS!

You probably could, but there is no animations for it or first person model, so it would probably crash unless you edited it alot.

Yes you would need a First-person model, whether it crashes or not is beyond me, but it's difficult to hit someone with an invisible sword.
I think that your strategy would work, you just need that First-person model.

First person model would be what it looks like when you are holding it? And btw, using the old method of mod2, bitmaps, light, shader swaping for plasma rifle, would I also need to edit the first person model? And could I get that from the Energy sword mod for demo and use that model to perfect the HALO FULL mod2 that I am trying to do?

First person model is the view of it in your hands, and yes, you would need to edit the model for the Energy sword, otherwsie you would see yourself holding a Plasma Rifle.
As far as I know, the models should be universal (meaning that you should be able to). You may want to ask Syperium though, and see if it's alright if you use his model.

You also need to edit the antr to something, otherwise you still wont see it. I reccomend using the plasma rifle's.

How would one edit the antr? Would they simply change the intended animation (in this case a Plasma Rifle) to the one that they desired (in this case, the animation of an Energy Sword)? If so, could we do the same with say, a vehicle? If not this way, then how?
