[MOD] The MGM Tournament Map

THE MGM TOURNAMENT MAP

This map was originally designed to be for the MGM weapons tournament back in July. However, the tournament did not take place, and the map was not released. Note that this map still has a lot of weapons from the tournament in it, but all the weapons that spawn are the regular ones. The arena itself is encased in a glass wall, with three spectator spots surrounding it. Players enter the arena by going through the regular teleporters. Spectators can enter the spectator stands by going through the side teleporters on the top of the bases. There are three spectators stands. The first one is simply a box room that overlooks the arena. The second is a set of bleachers that runs along the side of the arena. The third stand is a sky box, which overlooks the whole arena. I didn't make any way to exit the sky box due to laziness. (XP) Also note that there are walls up to prevent spectators from tossing a few nades into the arena. :P

Credit goes to me, who made the spectator stands and the shiny "Tourney" text, and I think Kayar(?), who made the original arena.

That's pretty great :) Do you know how the plasma pistol was modded so that it's charged used a different projectile than it's secondary? All my attempts to replicate have failed.

The only problem is that the transparent shaders, the thing that makes it awesome, is also a con, mainly because you cannot see the boundaries. I made a version with Swordedit..but..

Save-once-quit-crash-no changes saved-fail.

When I use Swordedit, I save and wait a while before quitting.

(swordedit won't work with maps on my slave drive :( )

Yay! Glad you released this, Shadow. Yeah, it was me. Wish that tournament could have gone somewhere.

Wait, so can you see the walls to some extent, or not? Because before, if you had graphics turned up all the way, then the walls would be totally invisible. I messed with the sgla tag for a little while so that the walls would become visible for both people with bad graphics and people with good graphics.

I can just barely see them (I'm on super epic graphics lol), but it's hard to perceive the edges, vertical planes, and such. Like the bleachers, and walls of the arena and sky box.
