Same with me, every now and then it's fine but otherwise I get the disappearing block glitch and chat lag etc.

Anyways, anyone up for a rail system? Or perhaps, if possible, we could get an economy system going, and get contractors or stores or whatever. It could be nice, and it would allow newer people to acclimate faster. Capitalism n shit.

I vote for the economy system, but monoman hasn't ever acknowledged economy requests.

Adding an economy has been discussed before and the problem is the server isn't active enough or large enough to support one.

Generally by economy I mean X item has Y value, then we can have businesses. This way we can make the spawn into a city of sorts that's populated by more than just empty buildings/'houses'. Or at least some kind of rudimentary trade/value sytem.

Mostly trade in-game in our server has consisted of internal bargaining between closed parties. I have traded stacks of assorted blocks from the Nether (netherrack, glowstone, soulsand) to Alfaz for a diamond block or so each. I traded six gold blocks to Mota for a green record once. I've traded cakes for diamond blocks before.

After clearing the decorative stuff from my home, I had a total of around 40-something gold blocks and 20 diamond blocks, the majority of which were meant as a prize to go to someone who found something, some of you know what I'm referring to. Then I lost my gp c and Mono had to give me a save of it from some time before, and I ended up with only 12-16 gold blocks and one diamond, not a full block, which is a shame. The merchant's life made me rich, the horrible glitches made me poor again. I'll have to open up another business and start selling again.

I did some small teraforming shit in skylands and made a nice flat island people can use. I made a little outpost for people to stop through to give some sense of civilzation.
