Harbinger Help Needed
Hey, guys. I'm having a little problem with Harbinger. Whenever I try to convert a map (in this case, Hugeass), it goes smooth for about a minute; then it gives a pop-up saying something about "class NoBoundsException" and closes on me. Can any of you tell me what's going on?

...Was that REALLY necessary, Brim? I mean, come on; the application didn't have a read-me or anything. Not to mention I did do some research. I didn't do much of it, I admit, but that doesn't mean you have to be an ass about it. (You just can't ask anything anymore without being flamed with accusations of being a "n00b" nowadays...)

my point is noone does proper research anymore. but i will give you credit. the stuff for Harbinger WAS in the full section. but still. many times people will come up to me and ask"how do you mod?" and i go."ummmmm" "eheh"
"how bout""you DL fonzies moding pack?" then they give crap about how none of teir tuts work...and no im not pointing fingers at anyone. a few people i have absolutly no problem teaching. someone taught me once. and ill do the same. but i miss the old days when moding was much more of an art known to a few than almost everyone. the people who started all this did proper research and stuck with it. then with its popularity its grown to the point almost anyone can mod. the"noob mods"(not my term) now flood the net wiyth their........noobiness. and generaly give the hackers and moders of halo a bad name. forgive me then if ONE MORE person asks yet another question thats been answered SEVERAL times here: viewtopic.php?t=3426
viewtopic.php?t=3539
or even the answer TO ALL OF THIS WHOLE CE IMPORTATION THING
viewtopic.php?t=3374&start=0&postdays=0 ... highlight= so please...dont go "was al that all nesasary on me".......we get way to much flak as it is.
and to be niceand helpful though i think korn answered you. convert B30imap. bloodgulch.map and ESPECIALLY ui.map. then use in harbinger. works like a charm.

For the record, every place I actually posted it has a large write up on how it works and how to use very carefully laying out what to do. Suggested reading.
And for the record, it was never designed to be workable with demo and I'm not going to post any info about how to use it with demo.

Sorry for the problem, guys. It's just that I'm not used to being treated like an idiot just because I asked one little question like that. Don't get this the wrong way, but in my opinion, you guys gotta quit flaming those who don't know as much as they should. First of all, it's just plain-out mean. I mean, come on; all that flaming is just going to have people not choose to go to this site. One of those people could turn into one of the greatest modders to look upon this forum, for crying out loud!
Secondly, like I told Brimstone, it just isn't necessary. We're not asking whether or not we're noobs, now are we? So why don't you actually answer our questions instead of telling us to burn in hell? Even if it is a stupid or frequently asked question, it's a little something called being a good sport. I mean, at least a post like Altimit gave me would suffice.
Don't get me wrong; I've been modding for about 3 months now. It's just that I just recently heard of Harbinger and got a bit too overexcited (I like to take things apart to see how they work). I respect everyone of you and understand how you feel about these posts; but you just have to learn that we're all a team, and thus we treat each other as family. Thank you.
