On my Macbook Pro running on a Core Duo 2.12ghz processor and with 1GB of RAM, bloodgulch loads in 3.48 seconds.

shadow what are your specs? better or worse then mine so i can get a grip on if it will be slow or not

my laptop is 1.5ghz 512mb G4 powerbook with a kick ass GFX card

I'm stuck with a g4 imac 768mb of ram which took forever to install, 700mhz, with a crappy gfx card, (thats why my mods look funny XD)

which probably means that bloodgulch would load in 3.48... minutes, or hours

O_o

dude thats horrible, I got the first Intel Imac, 1.83 Ghz 512 RAm and a ATI X1600 Graphics card (128mb) im getting the new 2.66 Ghz 2 gig ram and a 256MB graphics card soon. X-plane would look kickass on that card.

Found another location where bitmaps were being loaded and decoded multiple times, made a quick fix, and now loading occurs even faster than before. Shadow, I think I just fixed the still-loading-slowly problem.

I just opened up Crossing in swordedit.

gee thanks, its not like i've got tons o money to go get a new one....

and yeah, xplane kicks butt... too bad it looks like i'm watching a movie at like 1.5 frames a second....
