If you have not sent in your weapon, please do so as soon as possible. Deadline for weapon entries is July 31st/August 1st.



Please post in this topic whether you would like to participate or not. Please post whether you can host, as we will need a third player as a host for each match.

* Signifies possible hosts.
~ Signifies weapon importation finished.


Rules:
Max ROF: 5 or below.
Max Damage: Plasma rifle damage is 12, or anything under that.
Damage modifiers: All set even.
Max ammo: 200
Max battery charge: 200 and don't even think about changing how fast something ages.
Grenades/melee allowed: Yes, but do not modify.
Projectiles fired: 3 Max, if 3 projectiles then damage must be divided by 3, if 2 projectiles then damage is divided by 2.
Homing: less than .2. Basically negligible.
Headshot-able weapons: Allowed for sniping weapons only.
Force: 3 or lower.
Stun: Not allowed-recent tests by me showed that stun is too unfair.
Shield-skipping: Not allowed.
Extremely large damage radiuses: Not allowed. Collision radius can be 2.5 or lower.
Ammo per shot: Make it as high as you want, but ya better not set it to 0.
Everlasting, blinding tints are a no no.
Wobble/Shake/Jitter: None, or at most like .001.

**Only tags that are allowed to be edited are weap, proj, jpt!, and effe, and, well, maybe cont too**

Map compilation has begun. Please begin uploading your tags and PMing me the link. I'll try to get this done as quickly as possible. If your weapon includes any sort of special tag or there's anything else you think I should know, tell me via PM.

**UPDATE**

Organization has been passed on to Moxus while I'm on a canoe trip. Please send him your completed weapons to him as soon as possible so that we can get this show on the road!

I could host. And also have a very unfair idea for a weapon that fulfills all requirements.

O rly? Here's some rules.

-no one hit kill
-no 500 shots per round
-no 5000 ROF
-no homing
-no infinite ammo
-no instant reload
-no more than 200 shots per clip for something with relatively high (but not super high) ROF like an assault rifle
-no more than 10 shots a clip for something like a sniper rifle (meaning with relatively high damage, a scope, and lots of time between shots)
-no uber-explosions
-nothing that would make it incredibly easy to kill with without having skillz

How about now?

Last bullet point is too subjective. Everything else seems fine if somewhat arbitrary. Skill/lack of skill weapon would need a judge of some kind.

Skill= actually having to aim and try to hit the person vs. just hitting with an explosive near them or using homing things. It's kind of hard to explain.

Hee hee, darn. I was going to submit my auto-lock weapon. You put your gun in the enemy's ::general:: direction, and the reticle will be red. Fire, and the shot will go to the enemy and hit them, regardless of where you are facing, so long as the reticle is red. : D

I may see what I can throw together for this.

I got some good ideas for this lot.

Also, when submitting your weapons, you will probably need to submit the extracted meta of your weapon. So, I presume no ripping stuff from other maps.

(The meta extracting is so that we can easily place the two opponents weapons in a map.) By the way, are you going to make a special map with swordedit? Some floating platform? You should also post the times of the matches so we can spectate, too.

Whoa there shadow, I DID say 1 weapon per person, didn't I? :P

@Seabees4 and Altimit: Rules pertaining to how many projectiles can be fired in one burst, ammo count, homing and whatnot will be worked out, I only gave a general idea of what I would like the rules to be. As for ammo, I figured we say that each weapon has infinite ammo, and this way it involves more the battle between one weapon vs. the other. However, if the majority wants an ammo count, then we can work one out.

@002: The weapons should be imported, unless something prevents importation whereas everyone would have to remake their weapon into each and every map for each and every match.

@Shadow and the idea of making a map: I thought about that, but my HHK hasn't been working. I could make log platforms. I've been putting off trying to fix the HHK problem, so maybe today I'll try fixing it, so that I could import some stuff and make a map. Otherwise, normal bloodgulch seems fine for this sort of thing anyway.

I'm done with the weapon, it's all exported and ready for a recursive import. Should I upload the folder or aim you it?

We still need to work out the rules properly, like what's a fair max damage and whatnot.

People should post a list, in this format:

Maximum damage allowed: (give value)
Explosions allowed: (yes or no, if yes, maximum damage per explosion?)
Maximum ROF: (give value)
Homing allowed: (yes or no, if yes, give maximum)
Projectiles fired maximum: (give value)
Infinite ammo: (yes or no, give clip size if no)
Grenades/melee allowed: (yes or no)
