Mac Gaming Mods

Hey everyone, some of you may remember me from halomods or Tyler's site. I pretty much disappeared from the modding community soon after the method to convert CE maps was released.

I'm not returning to modding, I just wanted to get up to date on the mac modding scene and see how everyone is doing. It looks like this forum is the last great stronghold for halo mac modders, so decided to join the site.

So, can you guys bring me up to date? I've heard some stuff from tyler about a mac version of CE and HEK (!). Are these real?

not yet, i think tyler gave up on it and gave the project to... root maybe? i'd have to check.

Hello.

What's happening in Halo Mac modding now:

-Legacy, Pelican World, The Backyard, and Crossing have been released as new Halo Demo maps. These are brand new maps made up of scenery, bloodgulch's bsp has been entirely nulled through a hex tutorial developed by Sword and some others. Feel free to ask Pool, Moxus, or myself about these maps.

-Movie maps pack has been released. Now making a movie in Halo Demo on the Island, the Shaft, or bloodgulch is easier due to lack of hud in these maps. A number of movies are in development.

-New members have been joining on a regular monthly basis. A number of them are promising. Some aren't.

-More "new maps" are in progress.

Yes, I am aware of this. We are only trying to help people realize what they are doing the way we did.
