if we can convert bloodgulch.map to unity

This is a video game making app and if we open bloodgulch in it it would be alot easier to mod scenery and sound fx ai spawning think that if we can convert this to Unity, We can totally change Halo modding. Does anyone know how i can convert this to unity? and then convert it back to halo once im done modding it?

already been done cloud did it and i did it but with difrent maps (i think a halo 2 mac might be possible)
why not make a new halo engine? just export models from eschaton and make maps get models from halomaps like the biped and make that and get the weapon models and do that <_< and make a new halo engine

Short answer no. Long answer big no. The files and game assets are completely different. I know. I've worked with both extensively.
Cloud didn't "mod" maps in unity. He extracted the bsp model and used that for it. They're not convertible from one format to another. You can borrow some parts like models and bitmaps but for tags it doesn't work.

Hmm, Well how hard would making a new engine be? Would it even be Legal? The only reason im asking this is because this WOULD make modding pretty interesting. There has to be a way to make the BG map open in Unity. Like theres OBJ convert for Wings. Why not make a Map Converter for Unity?

I sense much fail in this thread. Unity is for making new games. Why limit yourself to reusing content from halo. If you really really want to do halo things, then find a way to get the HEK.
